    M20 Oil Pan Interchangability Question.

Do all M20's use the same oil pan? I need to replace mine on my 325is and have access to a really cheap pan off a 325e. Would it work?

iX are different, and 528e are different. All the RWD E30 ones are interchangeable though, and that 528e one may fit as well but I've never tried.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

528e won't fit as the Sump section is further back and would interfer with the front subframe. It would be nice if it did as my 86 528e has a steel pan
