what rear gears do i have?

I searched and couldnt find anything on the 325e. I was wondering what rear gears came stock in my car? And it doesnt have lsd because its a economy version right?

With the amount of options and previous owners the only way to really know is to check. On the diff there is a metal tag. It will give you the ratio and if it's a LSD. "S' stands for LSD. Example: S4.10 is a 4.10 LSD. While 3.73 is an open 3.73

eS's came with a lsd.. and depending on your year..its either a 2.93 or 2.79

ok i will check tomorrow. but its a stock 85 325e. So i just thought maybe someone would know for sure what gears and if its a lsd. Anyway it kicks sideways ALL the time. lol

as the first response says even if it is bone stock with 8 miles on the clock the amount of options these cars came with was quite numerous.

Since these cars do not have 8 miles then it is possible that at some point the original diff shit the bed. Someone thought it would be a good time for an upgrade or a change and changed to a non-original diff out of another e30.
