no heat. how do i check heater valve.

the po said one day the heater just stopped working. it doesn't work at all. not even a little bit. i read that you could hear a click when you go from hot to cold when the key is in the on position. i'm not hearing a click but i dont have another e30 to compare it to so i don't know exactly what i'm looking for.

The valve is just to the left of the hearter core and can be reached by removing the driver's side panel under the dash. You can use a test light to see if power is being applied to and removed from the valve.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The valve could be bad, or it may not be getting signal. Before buying a new valve you need to find out if the control signal is present.

there are 2 different valves, but they are interchangeable IF you change the heater core too.

          Closing SOON!
