    Ignition wire resistance

    Can anyone tell me the ignition wire resistance specs for 88 325is? Motronic v1.1

    I'd say that the wire resistance isn't as important as the condition of the insulation. Unless the ignition wires are fairly new (less than about 5 years old), replace them.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      I appreciate the advice and that's the advice I'd give out as well. However, these cars use high resistance wires and I'd like to know what the specs are. Can't seem to find them in any manuals.

        I would make sure they all read around the same value even if I didnt know what the value to look for was.

          They do read about the same value of 6.12Kohms. I'm going to replace them regardless, just thinking about getting some aftermarket ones. Some I saw advertised for this car where low resistance cables and I know that isn't right. I just don't trust parts dealers.

            Yea lower the resistance the higher the electrical noise.
