    Interior delay (auto-dim) mod installation

So after all my procrastination, I finally got around to installing the interior light delay and just had a question for the installation..

I replaced the stock relay with the new part and had buttoned everything back up thinking I was done but I noticed that whenever the relay started working, there was a beep noise..(not like alarm beep but more like a feedback noise..very annoying. It would fade away progressively with the light as it dims)

I realized that it might be the speaker picking up the signal from the relay whenever it activated and amplified it into a beeping sound..

Question is, am I supposed to tuck in the relay beneath the "bracket", where the stock relay was hidden, or did I do the right thing by having the relay outside of the bracket, and behind the speaker ? (I only did the latter because I thought the new relay wouldn't fit under the bracket..) How can I get rid of the feedback noise ? When I tried the mod without speaker attached, didn't hear any noise.

This is how it is setup right now.

Also, does anyone happen to know what that extra wire is for ? (the one with blue and brown that's shown on top of your relay..)

I really appreciate the help. This has been bugging me a lot..

    Thank you in advance !
