    Recommendation on impact swivel sockets

For front end work, would "people who know," get 1/2" swivel or 3/8" swivel? And would you get shallow/semi deep/deep?

I will end up buying all types but right now I want ones that will give me the broadest use until I can afford the others.

For front end work 1/2" drive normal length sockets will be the most useful.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I have normal length non swivel. But I could def use swivel on small cars like Hondas.

I have never purchased a dedicated impact swivel, but I should.
        (I would get the 1/2")

I've used non-impact swivels in a pinch, and have decided that it's an excellent way to lose teeth.

Your best best is using regular 1/2" impact sockets with a 1/2" impact universal adapter. I've had plenty of success using this combination and it's also a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a full set of of universal impact sockets.

          Comparsion:

My Craftsman 1/2" impact sockets with the 1/2" universal adatper cost me about $100 total. I've had these for years and use them daily and are still holding strong

My Snap-on Complete 1/2" Universal set 12mm to 24mm or whatever it is cost me well over $500

The only issue I've encountered and its rarely is that sometimes while using the regular 1/2" socket with universal adapter it may not fit and clear some surrounding components to actually reach the desired bolt due to how big the universal adapter is. This is where the actually universal socket came into play and I was able to reach the desired bolt with the slimmer and lower height of the universal socket.

Last issue I really had that on were some Audi A8 front brakes. It honestly doesn't happen often but it does happen
