    Motronic 1.0 -> 1.1

    Okay, got all the old 1.0 equiptment out, harness and computer. Installed the balancer, got the new harness mostly in. But have a few questions.

    1. Where do I mount the pickup sensor for the crank position?
    2. There are two connectors on the computer port connector (inside the car in other words) that I dont know where to hook up too.
    3. There is a two prong sensor right above the grommet for the harness at the firewall that was part of 1.0 but obviously not this one. Anything I need to do there?
    4. There are two ring connector wires in the loom where the coil and o2 sensor wires run, are they just ground wires?
    5. There are many more prongs in the plug that connects to the round screw in plug near the fuse box, will it still work?
    6. There is an extra wire with the two that go on the starter leads. It is green with a black stripe and will fit on what looks to be an 8mm stud, but I dont know where it goes.

    I think this is it for now. I also found I need a new alternator belt as mine is too long with the other crank balancer. I know I need to do a little wiring (my harness is from an 89 car). Ely if you get this you can reply here or on PM, I was going to try to contact you either way. Thanks.

    1. There is a Bracket that bolts onto the block by the AC Compresor that holds the sensor.
    2. One of those is the c104, and the other is for the AC compressor(tells the ecu when ac is on so it bumps up the idle speed). Depending on what year motronic 1.3 harness you are using the c104 was done away with and the wires run threw the c101, so you'll have to do some wiring.
    3. Leave it alone, 1.3 dosn't use it
    4. Check the wire colors, but they should be grounds
    5. What year chassis? and what year engine harness are you using?
    6. Splice it into the black/Yellow wire on the starter

            Try converting a 1981 633csi from L-jet to Motronic 1.3 and then you may know it also :shock:
