Tips on getting a bolt out

So I'm replacing the alternator on the 325i auto... and I get to the bottom mounting bolt. The fucker is stuck in there. Period. 6 point sockets, no luck. Wrenches, no luck. Anyone got any ideas how to get it out, either by cutting the head off, or somehow drilling it, or what?

EDIT: Would a good pair of vise grips, some Liquid Wrench and a lot of hammer whacks do 'er good?

Let some PB Blaster or similar soak in for a while. Then get a 6 point socket on there with a long bar overtop (for extra leverage) or a breaker bar and giv'er.

They key is to get a lot of leverage on it. Try sliding a bar overtop of the ratchet. The extra leverage will probably do the trick.
If that doesn't work, you can drill it out. If you've never drilled out a bolt before, take it to a shop and let them do it (get them to show you the techniqe while you're there).

As I recall that is a bolt and nut setup. Lube, lube, lube. Try heat(propane torch). Then leverage 'til it breaks.Longer piece of pipe . Larger hammer.
It will need replacing anyway. They make nut spliters ( they work ) A good chisle comes to mind-- Wreckers love torches--Good if your careful! It will come off. Good luck---Steve

Got it off, ended up cutting flats back into the bolt head (I semi-rounded it off earlier), cut the nut off with a Dremel, and used the good ol' vise-grips.
