    Removing driveshaft with vibration dampener

I've been trying to get the driveshaft off my transmission for the past two days. I finally decided that I'd just pull the engine with the driveshaft, which was pretty annoying, but doable.

I've followed the Bentley steps, and it says that I need to turn it 60 degrees. No matter how hard I try, it doesn't move.

    Heres a pic for reference:

It's a manual tranny, and I've tried with it in gear and holding the driveshaft while in neutral.

Possibly. I'll keep tryin to turn the damn thing, but I was wondering if there might be an easier way.

Wish I could be of help - I've never worked with a dampener like that..

But yeah - if faced with what you have pictured - I'd soak things down with PB, lock down the drive shaft somehow - then take a hammer to something like a nail punch placed in one of those holes.

Looking at that design reminds me of a tool used for adjusting struts or something - maybe the right oil filter removal tool would get a good enough grab on that fucker..

            Good luck.

^ x2 on PB, you need to let it sit for at least a day for it to penetrate all the way.

How are you trying to move it? I'm not expert in this but can't you get fan clutch type of tool to grab on two bolts and have more leverage?
