I had a brake line leaking onto the subrframe, so I tightened it back up and then sprayed some Super Purple cleaner where the fluid had been dripping to clean it, and when I wiped off the subframe an apparently rubberized coating started to peel off. The area it came off is only about a 2x2 in. square so Im thinking Ill just use some underside coating that I have to recover the area. Is this any special type of coating that I should just get from the dealer?

You shuld be able to just spray some rubberized uddercoating over it. I did the entire bottom and fender wells of m car with the stuff (on my MG). Watch out for brake fluid though. It will eat through paint and such.
