    Newbie, with a question...

I have a 1991 318is with 142k on the clock. I am having some idle issues, and I am wondering if anybody might know what the problem is here. I have a rough riding low idle, especially upon start-up. The idle seems to rev higher after the car is warmed up. I noticed that having the fan blow on anything above 1 (aka 2-4), the engine will just up and kill when I depress the clutch in preparation for a turn or whatnot. So it can’t handle the fan or AC turned up at all. I know a low idle can be caused by many things, and it can be a pain to chase and expensive to find the cause. So anybody knows these symptoms mean any solution is more likely to work I would appreciate some input.

    Thanks!

Did you just purchase this car or have you owned it for a while?

check the vacuum lines in and around the throttle body/intake manifold, those tend to be pesky. They are cheap to replace
