Sunroof problem (CRANK)

Hello fellow members,

So my sunroof took a dump on me the other day and it no longer slide back. So I decided to take it apart to find that one of the tab on the slider is broken. The piece that connects the cable to the slider. I was wondering if anyone know if I can just replace that tab or will I have to buy the complete cables and slider. I tried removing the tab out of the table but it doesn't look like it will come off. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you get the sunroof apart without being able to slide it back? Mine vents but won't slide open, and as far as I know you need to slide it back a quarter of the way to take it apart.

Well first of all only one tab is broken. So what I did was crank the sunroof till it dip under the roof. The side with the broken tab didn't want to dip under the roof so I used a little force to push it down. After it dipped below the roof I used one hand to push back the sunroof and the other to crank. This got my sunroof to slide back. I hope that helps. Still waiting to hear any feed back on whether I need to replace just the tab or the whole assembly...
