Need some help understanding low pass filters

I get low pass filters filter out high frequencies but it seems the higher I set this the less lower frequencies I get. Its almost like it has a set range i.e. 20 - 50 or 50 - 80 or 80 - 110 but never 20 - 110. You know? Is this true? Does the low pass filter have a set differential?
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

It doesn't, actually, it just sounds like it. There is less output in the lower frequencies than the higher ranges, especially in sealed boxes. To demonstrate this, turn off the low pass entirely.

Basically, the higher frequencies drown out the deep bass. The bass does not actually change at all. Turning the filter on simply filters out the unwanted frequencies.

      Does that help?

Yea that makes sense. So is there anyone running two subs with 2 different low pass frequencies and wattage?

Alright. Is there an intelligent way to set the low pass filter?
