    Oilpan Gasket

Apparently I have to replace my oilpan gasket. Can someone please give me a basic procedure to do this. Some tips would be awesome. Thanks a lot

    Hey,

This one isn't going to be fun. The oil pan has several little nuts that hold it on, and takes a while to get them all off.

So pretty much, drain your oil. Undo all the nuts. You will likely have to raise the motor up some to get enough clearance to get the pan out; but be very careful and don't raise it too much. Make sure its all cleaned up, use the glue, stick on the gasket, and replace the pan/nuts.

I think that should cover everything, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

It's not really that hard at all. Here's an article (written by myself) on replacing the oil pan, but the procedure is exactly the same for replacing just the gasket. Hope it helps.
