    early g-rag 260's. Question

I have a g-rag 260 in my 88is and I'm leaking quite a bit of fluid out the back of it. I have a new rear main seal in but i'm loosing fluid out another place. Can I leak a substantial amount out the selector shaft? How would that seal get replaced? Also, there are those threaded holes for the early shift linkage, do I need to plug those since I am running the later style shift carrier?

I am not just leaking a little. It is running out of the trans.

Yes! You definitely need to plug those. Make sure you use short bolts thought. I had a car where I used too long of bolts and it wouldn't shift in to 5th gear!

Throw some silicone on them for good measure.
