Installing A/C - Euro vs. US version

I found an US A/C system from 325iX for my Euro E30 318i. It's a good deal, but i'm not sure if there are some differences between the US system and the Euro one, and i'm not sure if it will be plug and play. Does anybody know?

Also before i install it i would like to change all o-rings, pipes, etc. Is there something else that will be good to replace before the install. Also how can it be converted to r134a? Sorry if some of the questions are stupid, i'm new E30 owner and have never installed A/C to any car, that doesn't have one from factory.

    Regards.:)

biggest obstacle with the iX system would be that the brackets are for an M20, and you have a different motor. If you can source the correct brackets, everything else should be a bolt in deal.

For the 134a conversion, you will need a compatible compressor, Green o-rings, an expansion valve calibrated for 134a, and a reciever drier. Add a set of fittings and all is done.
