    Car just died.

    The car yesterday just started cutting out intermintantly. Today It didnt want to sart a few times and then just now it wont start 89 325i auto.
    So far Ive checked:

    It seems like now its not getting injector pulse.I cant hear or feel them pulse It seems the pump doesnt run unless jupped. but Its so quiet I dont think I could hear it when cranking.

    Also the CPs checks out good 563 OHMs.

    Engine ground seems ok.

    I have a consistant spark


    Im thinking it may be the dme I havent checked pin 27 yet . I havent checked pulse with a light yet to verify.


    Could the main relay cause this?
    The ICV still buzzes though?

    Tonight Im stumped Any other Ideas?

    Aslo I read something abiout the OBC relay would that disable pulse aswell ?

      If the engine has spark when cranking, but the fuel pump doesn't run unless jumpered, the fuel pump relay or DME are the logical suspects.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        cars thowing a fuel pumpe relay code but it still doesnt run when jumperd it must be the DME

          A fuel pump relay code can be caused by a number of things. On this car my first suspect would be C191. After that the fusible link, CPS, engine harness, and DME would be my suspects.
          The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

            cps ohms out good? when you say fuseable link you mean the off the battery? Its fine.

            OH I got some one to help me just now also my fuel pump does run when I crank it. So the symptom is no injector pulse

            I think Im going to splice in the c191 conector It looks a little corroded like the TB was leaking on it at one point. I didnt even know about this problem. Ive never had a running m20 car for more that 4 months lols and my last one was a early modle so I didnt have that connector I guess.

            I do have power to the DME pin 27 as well.

            The best part is 20 mins before it died it passed smog lol
