    Engine sometimes wont turn over

Maybe 4-5 times my engine has not wanted to turn over when I have tried to start it. I installed a starter button a long time ago but the problem has only started maybe a month ago.

When I push the starter button the lights dim slightly on the cluster but the engine does not even attempt to turn over. No sound from the engine bay.

I was originally thinking it could be the battery but it has only happened after recently driving the car (going someplace to eat ect). The car always starts fine after sitting overnight, days on end, ect.

    any ideas? the starter maybe?

The lights dimming slightly are suggestive of a poor primary power or ground connection, or perhaps a weak battery. But it could be caused by a failing starter.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Like he said ^ and could be one or many of they above factors. You'll have to do a process of elimination check. examine grounds for corrosion, loose wires, check power supply for secure connection/broken wires. Typical problem is the ground wire going from the solenoid to starter body; gets all green an brittle. also test the battery for voltage.
