Suddenly dead Tach+Temp+Fuel gauges = SI Board?

Just finished replacing my odometer gears (first 50 miles I've turned in years). I was rolling down the highway when the tach, temp, fuel, and MPG gauges all suddenly fell over dead. The OBC won't switch to mpg/mph mode either. The speedo and odo are working fine, along with turn signal lights.

I've been thru 3 clusters in this car over the last 6 years and never had one fully working - FML.

I'm at my parents place for the 4th so I haven't torn into it yet to see if it could possibly be a fuse or a bad connection from reinstalling the cluster after fixing the odo gears.... but it'd be nice to have temp and fuel gauges for the 3 hour drive home.

Does this sound like the SI board?

Edit for Update: It was fuse 10 causing the above problems, and it blows repeatedly. Didn't have any trouble before the odo gear job. Any suggestions to figure that out are appreciated.

It sounds to me like a blown fuse. The SI board can take out the tach, econometer, and temp gage, but not the fuel gage.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yep, it was fuse 10 - I replaced it and it blew again after about 2 hours of driving on the way home. Crap. I've got a 3rd fuse in there and we'll see how long it lasts. I had no problems with this cluster since I put it in a few months ago, but this started after replacing the odo gears. Sucks - not sure how I'll troubleshoot a freaking instrument cluster.

Check to make sure ur trunk light isn't grounding out. That's how I constantly blow that fuse.

You either pinched a wire on one of the plugs on the cluster or the 2 wire connector under the shift boot to the back up lights is touching the shifter cut out in the floor.

See if that fuse blows just after you put it in reverse with the key on.

Both times it blew I was cruising on the interstate at 70mph, didn't hit any noticeable bump or anything. I'll start chasing wires.

I just started having this problem. Did you ever figure it out?

The last time I had fuse 10 blowing on me, it was because the AC aux fan in front was old and stuck even though it was being supplied power.

unplug your backup lamp switch and see if you keep blowing the fuse
