    Need opinions on oil leak

I have an oil leak that I need to take care of. It starts way up at the intake manifold and then drips down all over the side of the engine. There were small puddles around two of the fuel injectors, the oil dipstick and a couple other spots in that area.

Upon closer inspection I found this:

So would that breather hose leak that much oil? It looks like the Previous Owner blocked the end it was supposed to go to with a bolt. Do you think there is a reason they did this? I have already cleaned the engine so I can put everything back together and see if it cures it.

The first step would be to replace the missing elbow that should be pressed into the hole on the left side of the throttle body. The odds are that you will have to use JBweld to secure the elbow. The step following that would be to replace the breather hose between the plugged piece and the valve cover. You'll need the OE hose, a generic hose won't work.

The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I actually have that elbow that is missing. I just removed it for these pictures. So could that breather leak that much oil? It sure looks like it starts up at it.

There is absolutely no reason that breather hose should be like that. Buy a new breater hose and reconnect it as it should be.

Okay cool. I get so irritated when I find stuff like this.
