    URGENT HELP, m52 2.8L ('98 328i)

Ok, yesterday the car was driven through water , it didn't get into the car, but it was higher then the lower door gap, after that, we turned on the car, it poped loud, then it was normal. Today, it's a ***ing traktor..... it just can't stay on... it drives, but like SH*T. Also, the transmission was about to be replaced (I don't even think that the flex and flywheel were even there :? how the previous owner drove the car! ) So, I'm thinking ether the tranny is just went out... , the head(loud pop), or something clogged the afm.. maybe throttle b. (the car is still driveable, but like a traktor)
P.S. Guys, I know that this is E30 board.. but this is very urgent, and I think that this web site is the most helpfull on these things.... THANK YOU for your help! I really apreciate it ;)
P.S.S. sorry for mistakes, still learning english.

Did you check the Air Filter/Intake for water?

you really have to suck up a lot of water to hydrolock an engine, and the intake setup is a good ways higher than the lower door jam....unless somehow you got some electronics wet....but....i dont really have any idea
