    Ignition lock cylinder replacement

Anyone know the part #'s to all the parts that are required when replacing the ignition lock cylinder?

    How hard is the job?

    thanks.

Check RealOEM.com. They list several p/n's.

On a side note, do they have to be coded to a VIN? In other words, I just bought a full lockset from a used BMW, but I don't have the VIN for the car. If I want a copy, how do I get around that?

And also, I'll need a new lockset for my Euro, but I want to buy NEW. Can you buy a full lockset with a new key?

It's an easy job. Turn the key to accessory (I think first position) and push a paper clip or something similar in the hole in the black surround thingy (Technical, I know...) It should slide right out.
