It is clearly coming from the front ride side of my 91 318i, it almost sounds like pad rub but if I press on the brakes it does not go away. It gets louder under acceleration and at high speeds. My thought is wheel bearing, what is your thought?

A wheel bearing or a bent backing plate would be the first things I'd check.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
