Please see my other post for why I am thinking of doing this. But, can we run these cars, without damaging the rack or steering universal, without the powersteering pump engaged?
Will I damage the car further without powersteering belt?

No, remove the belt. I have done it numerous times and run all of my E30's with no PS. -
Thanks guys. Would you mind looking at my other thread and let me know what the hell might have happened to my steering. I have had the rack out so many times I can do it in my sleep. But, I am mentally and physically exhausted with my steering issues over the past 3 years. Not to mention, I just re-did my timing belt because of the noisy goodyear belt. That is why I just want to remove the belt. I can't tackle replacing the rack and pump right now.Comment
