    324td special feature, pictures.

Had an oppertunity to take some pictures of a 324/524td motor today. Its a pretty rare beast this side of the pond, and most of the pictures of it out there are only in an engine bay.

I thought alot of the things in the motor were pretty cool by comparison to a m20. Thought others would enjoy.

A coworker bought it for the crank and turbo manifold, but ended up just parting it all out.

Just the engine or complete car? If it was a car, was it a 524 or 324? Never seen a 324 in the States.

I was actually thinking of importing a 325 touring with the td engine.

I realise some items might be hard to come by but would it be difficult to get regular maintenance parts?

So few parts of the td motor are shared with the m20. I don't know about availability, but its likely going to be tough.

Jordan? do you guys have the Fan/Fan clutch for the engine? some of the 324td's got a Very slim fan that I believe will fit in the E30M30 and E30M50 swaps with room to spair.

I really dont think it will fit, I have a 324TD in my backyard right now I am fixing for someone, and it has the said fan, but its not that small. The motors are junk, and damn they are slow. the one that is in my yard is from a "friend" who is suppused to be adding a "propane injection kit" to it, dont really know what that is going to do to it.

That injection pump is probably worth a fortune to somebody out there with a worn out one.

Wow, looks vastly different compared to the m20. Shocking really.

My friend in cleveland ohio has a 524td that runs but the body is shot and the front susp is ripped out. I can contact him if anyone is interested.

The turbo manifold fits an m20?
