A/C part question

Does anyone know what you call the wire that runs to the A/C compressor? I have an 85 318i, and the wire that goes from the A/C compressor to the wiring harness is missing.

Can this be bought, or do I have to change the whole compressor?

The wire goes to the clutch coil, which should be separate from the compressor. Is it cut off somewhere?

yeah. it goes to the clutch coil, and out a little pigtail.

It's cut off. Can i buy just this wire?

Is it the temperature sender wire, or the one coming off of magnetic clutch? It doesn't look like it is buyable. Take this sheet to your nearest dealer or call BMW.

If that doesn't work, go to radio shack and get some rosin and soldering iron.

I guess I'll have to try to fix it myself, b/c my BMW dealer is full of idiots.
