Fuel lines from tank

I have two lines hanging down by the fuel filter off of the tank. One is the line that runs directly to the pump. The other is the one that comes off a hard line on the tank and drops down. Which one goes to the fuel filter?

The car is a 91 318is

I figured it out. Ends up the line that comes directly from the pump goes to the hard line on the chassis. The line that goes from the pump to a hard line on the tank to a soft line goes to the fuel filter.
