      I am not sure how an old piece of rubber would make the noise and a new one wouldnt but I am glad to hear that the noise is gone!

        Well,that and LOTS of grease between the front axle and the chassis!
        It seems to me that somehow the front right spring was moving a little with the old pads which were totally shot btw.
