Master Cylinder ID - I need help of one I have.

I have this master that was from a car I bought. Since I bought huge front brakes I want enough master cylinder. Please help if you can. It is a ATE master- numbers on the box are 010196 in a black rectangle, below that is 03.2123-8711.3 and the upc # 4 006633 011419 with 12 under the upc.

    Any help would be great.

look on the part itself, not the box. underneath it likely says 21 or 23. but who knows, you dont even list what car you have. if its an 325 and you have a big brake kit just get a 25mm m/c for a 750. but if youre more specific we could help more

      BMW 90' 325i - Master Cylinder ID

Sorry for the lack of information on the intial post. The master has a few different numbers but the number I think that is the crucial is 28.

I believe that indicates bore size then? I have been having problems with a soft pedal- after numerous times bleeding even- I have used Super Blue but now I am using Motul 600. I think it is better but not what it should be. If my calculations are right then 28mm would be enough pressure down to four piston superlite wilwoods with 1.75in piston size. Stock OE rear brakes.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

dude, really you need to be more specific. you say you have some big brakes but im not sure if they are in your closet and youre thinking about all this in your head or if they are installed. i know of no bmw master cyl with a 28mm bore. if you have your big brakes on and are running a wimpy stock m/c ,,,, that is your problem. you need to push more fluid. when i did my 5 lug i was running a stock e30 m/c. my brakes sucked until i did the 750 m/c. just get yourself a 750 m/c for like 120 bucks and youll be set. if you have an m3 m/c already it may just need to be bled more. what exactly do you drive?
