    Fuel Economy of the M42

I'm looking into purchasing an M42 for my bronzit beast. I'm wondering what kind of fuel economy I'd get though. My M10 gets ~29/35 now.

I have gotten 30 mpg on the highway, but that was only once.
Normally I running around 22 city and 27 highway. With 24 being a good average when I fill up.

Tara regularly gets 26 in the city, 30-32 on the freeway ~80mph.

I post that just because I know she probably won't. Jim C chip w/ 150k on the engine.

Ken, with JC chip, mine would average 32-33 on the highway going to Michigan in the summer. That's using 93 octane (92 in some places). I never really monitored the around-town mileage.

BTW, recently got 28mpg on the way to the track, with a friend and over 150 pounds of other stuff in the car. (thats with the 24v, not the M42)

pshh, i get about 21-22 with hardly any fwy/hwy driving. all city shifting at 2500-3000 babying the shit. with my eta i'd barely get 21, but that was shifting at 4200. seems like my cars love to run rich on me i suppose, i avg 25 in my dad's honda del sol, but he can get like close to 40. couldn't tell you what i'm doing differently
