    Subframe removal Help!

    Hi Guys

I am trying to remove my subframe and am now a bit stuck. So far I have removed the shocks disconnected the brakes and hand brakes, the diff bush bolt subframe bolts and that sensor on the diif, also the drive shaft to diff connection. Now I can lower the assembaly no problems but I can't for the life of me figure out how to disconnect the drive shaft with out removing it.

I have one Idea, that is to unbolt the center support bearing on the drive shaft then lower the subframe. That way it will bend at the uni joints then once I get it low enough I can simply slide it back and hang the drive shaft from the body some how. Would this be ok.

I have seen pictures of people hitting out the subframe bush bolt, my problem is that that hole under the back seat is sealed with some kind of rubber so I can't get the bolt out.

    Please help.

    Cheers.

Loosen up the heat shield in the rear. this will let the drive shaft lower more.
then youll just have to play with it.

You gotta pick that tan/brown rubber stuff outta the hole. Then you can wallop those bolts out.

Just wallop the bolts out. The goop will form a cylinder on the bolt head.
