    cone filter back to airbox

I have a mostly stock 87 325e and it came with just a cone air filter clamped to the afm how do I go back to stock? What parts do I need to put it back as its dirty and looks like crap and I don't see how much it would helps and such a noisy annoying sound.

I would go to a junk yard and pick one up. You just need the top and bottom half (I would make sure the horn is still in the top half). Your cone is probably just slipped on your AFM, so the box will go right back. Also, get the 2 nuts to bolt it in place..

I thought that was all I needed but wanted to double check. So far the past 4 e30's I have seen at the junkyard are missing the airbox but I will keep an eye out.

Well, know that's all you really need. You could get the tube that goes to the head light backing also, but it's not need to make the swap happen. Just keep an eye out and good luck!
