    W.A.R. vs TMS

So in the near future I would like to do a chip upgrade and from multiple forum searches these two names come up the most. Now I've read on both but I would like to know personal experiences, since i haven't found a direct comparison thread either. So which is better ladies and gents the W.A.R. or TMS?

on a side note I do plan on the miller MAF upgrade as well so anyone who has done the MAF and TMS chip combo please chime in as well.

Here are some links to teh chips themselves if people were wondering:

    Those aren't remotely comparable items.

The WAR chip is a 4 tune edit-tunes-on-my-laptop device, and the chip is a chip.

I have the MAF + WAR setup now.

You don't run a maf with the TMS chip. Its kinda a one size fits all type of deal. The W.A.R. chip is the best solution for those who aren't willing or able to learn how to tune a standalone.

I bought the MAF + WAR setup more for the MAF than the WAR chip, as I really wanted the AFM gone, but I figured if I was spending the money I might as well get the whole kit. I was not, nor would I have been interested in a chip + AFM setup.

If I was going to do it on a car for someone else, I would do the MAF + chip setup and not bother with the WAR chip itself, I wanted the option to tinker. All I do with it now is use it as a high idle switch for when I'm using the car as a generator.

                Mark D is a favorite.

Just to clarify the miller MAF includes a non-tunable performance chip, not sure if you realized that.

i have the maf and its not all that.
waist of money. glad i paid 200 for the maf and a carbon fiber intake.
if i would have paid full price i would of sold it right a way.
wasn't impressed. not worth the money.
                    little better throttle response.

if i were you i'd just go with the tcm chip.

better yet, do a markD chip with 19# injectors and call it a day.

Thanks for the input, I have a question about this though. Say I go with the markD (or any chip) but I do want the cai (Kamotors) can I run it with just a MAF adapter or should I buy the miller conversion and not use there chip provided (If thats possible)?

Sorry if any of this is dumb I'm just trying to get my facts straight
