whilst removing my manifold, i sheared off a sensor that was coming out of the thermostat housing. there are two sensors coming out if it, and the plugs that plug into them come from the fuel rail. theres a blue one and a orange/yellow one. i sheared the blue one, but im not sure of its proper name. im assuming some sort of temp sensor..

The blue one is the coolant temp SENSOR.
Don't confuse it with the SENDER which is the orange one.
Sensor is for the ECU,
Sender is for the gauge in the insturment cluster.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
Common sense- It's the new 'gifted' -
The coolant temp sensor has a fuel injector type connector, while the sender has one spade terminal.
There is also the thermotime switch, if applicable, and a fan switch i believe too.
