interior lights are gone

tonight i turned on my headlights and none of my interior lights came on that should. my head unit, clove box, dome lights, check panel, and window switch lights come on. the fuse is fine what is wrong? Today i just put in e36 window switches so i was messing around with wiring and also my ash tray light wires were exposed for a few hours while driving. could anything with these be the prob. the lights were on today no problem with my head lights so the wiring i did today didnt effect my lights for while.

it is probably the headlight switch. just replace one on the nephews car yesterday.

That is deff top of the list but i figured it was just somthing i did while doing my "pro" wire job. does anyone know if the window switches are related, in any way, to the headlight knob.

try jumpering pins 6 and 2 on the headlight switch. that should bypass the dimmer resistor resulting in full interior lights. this is how my car is rigged up
