clicking from rear wheel with spacer

Running 15x6.5 BBS RS's, Originally 4x114, redrilled to 4x100. Mounted on stock e30 hubs with a 15mm hubcentric spacer, hubcentric rings (66.1mm - 57.1mm) and a stud conversion kit by another R3V member.

Yes, I know how to search. Every thread I find attributes this clicking noise to an extended lug that is too long and is rubbing. But I'm running studs, not lugs, and they're the correct depth into the hub.. i'm quite sure that's not my issue.

My concern is that the clicking is not consistent, it happens only under load. I will hear a clicking when i am driving at very low speeds, and when I am turning hard right or left. This clicking intensifies to a knocking when i accelerate or brake hard.

I'm quite sure it's not a bad bearing, because the noise began as soon as I got off stock basketweaves and mounted these new wheels.

How should I troubleshoot this? The nuts are definitely tight enough and I check them constantly because the clicking is scaring me when I drive.

    Any help is appreciated

Do you have another set of wheels to put? I'd try it with different wheels to see if you can isolate the problem to it being the spacers that would be good step.
