Misfires under 2k rpm, Irratic Idle Problem

So I've had my 325e for about 3 months now, and I'm having a problem that's been getting worse. The car doesn't want to rev up from a dead stop above 2k, but once I get it above 2k, its fine. The car would previously just struggle from a cold start on the first rev in the morning, but would be fine throughout the rest of the day.

I've gone through gremlin idle problems in my first car I purchased...I know its a laundry list of parts to look at to replace. Has anyone had this problem before to save me some time, and whats the general e30 laundry list to look at? I have the Bentley book and am a mechanically inclined person, this motor seems easy to work on anyway.

Thanks for any help in advance, I appreciate it!

The first things I'd do would be to have a shop run a smoke test to check for intake leaks (and repair as indicated), change the O2 sensor, ignition wires, plugs, rotor and distributor cap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If the 02 sensor fell into the exhaust, that would do it, right? I have a huge exhaust leak at the 02 sensor and I'm pretty sure thats my problem...

It was the 02 sensor. Car runs great again.
