How do you remove the climate controls?

I need to replace my radio bezel, climate control etc whatever it's called after someone so kindly removed my radio without proper tools and broke it to pieces. I got all the retaining screws out but I can't tell how the climate controls actually attach to it? I've looked in the Bentley manual and I'm either blind or it's not in there. Also checked the online BMW repair manual and couldn't find a definite answer so hopefully someone here can help.
    Thanks
    Nick

Anyone? I suppose this should be under the "interior" forum if someone wants to move it there.

Behind where? The controls? I can't pull them out, it feels like the cable to the vent control is stuck and I'm afraid to force it and break it.

the knobs and the slider knobs all pull off. There is a panel beheind the slider knobs. You can pry it out or grab it with pilers. Then it exsposes four screw heads and the cover comes right off. If you have romoved the heater cables and all that you did way to much work

Haven't touched the cables. I didn't want to pull on them. Thanks though, gonna give it a go after work:up:

Here are some pictures that may help.

                Heater Control Panel Back

Heater Control Panel Front - Snap-on bezel removed. You can see the four screw heads now revealed.

Heater Control Panel Side - Was hoping you could get an idea of the construction of the snap-on bezel from this side view.
