can i charge a battery using the + - that are in the engine bay.

I believe that is for jumping, but may work, but just do it the regular way and do it from trunk why is that so hard?

because i am looking at a car tomorrow and the trunk is stuck and the battery is dead. I did mean jump when i said charge. thanks for the info.
