e30 with e46 rack steering tight feel?

I have today put a e46 clubsport on my e30 and after fitting it feels tight and not quite right,i also have vibrations through the steering wheel but i have the universal joint without rubber coupling could this be my vibrating??the powersteering pump groad very ocasinonal with my old rack on!

groad? Also, depending on how tight you put the linkage back on, if its too tight you will feel it. Also, alignment makes a huge difference. But either way, first be sure you arent binding anywhere.
