early windshield in 318is?

Does anyone know for sure what the difference is?? I suspect its just the tint band at the top? I have a new early windshield in a box and my 318is needs a new one. I want to make sure its not something I dont know about. I know they take different seals. Whats up??

no difference windshield wise from my research

It will fit, the only difference I know of is the lock strips. (Which still interchange of course)
