What model alarm are you using? I believe all Audiovox alarms need relays to be used, even though they have a negative output, it is only capable of triggering anout 500 mA, where the BMW needs to see more like 1 A of ground.
It will work, but only for a while.
If you need help wiring relays, I can do that, easy 'nuff.
