I just replaced a fuel pump and fuel line. The wiring from the fuel pump goes straight into the cabin and runs beneath the back passenger side. At the point where it enters the cabin I would check for a short to ground. You can do this by removing the back seat and checking the wiring.

Another common place to check would be to remove the fuse box (carefully) and look under it to see if by chance a wire has come out and is grounding.

    Best of luck

It is highly unlikely that your wiring is bad.

Fuses pop when overloaded, right? It is way more likely that your fuel pump is going bad, thus causing the fuse to be overloaded.

Have you looked at the ETM? If not, download it and do your best to read through it, it should help show you the circuit.
