If you can't find an obvious source for a leak. Put a line of chalk belowerver possible leak location. The next time wate is present in the trunk where the chalk is washed off will point to the source.

^^This. Mine was flooding both the jack and battery area. Turned out it was a combination of the trunk seal, tail light gaskets and the gromet.

why dont you just spray one spot of your rear at a time with a hose and see where the water gets in? o.O

It doesn't. The window is sealed in with a rubber gasket.

I believe I know what you are talking aboiut. It is connected to the body panel correct? I pulled of one of the hoses and stuck my finger in there, it didn't even feel like it had an outlet!

^ He's talking about the plastic tray that the rubber hoses lead to from the front of the car. You have to take out the trim to see this. Inside that plastic piece is a hole that leads to the outside which allows the water to leave the car.
So when you test for proper draining, such as putting water in the sunroof, you should see water going in there and draining out on the other side, near the bumper on the side of the car.

On the other side is the part covered by the bumper where the water overflows and drains. It looks like a sort of side vent.
Will do, but I am confused about this "plastic part" What does the drain going into this area look like?

I Will look around closer than

Under my tail light is a sort of serious patch of rust. So that may be the culprit, but when I pulled the carpet it didn't look like there was a way into the trunk from there. and if there was a way in from that point, the water would drain out of that spot too dont you think?
