M10 engine caught fire.Need advice (electrical related).

A friend of mine recently was in the unhappy position to see his engine bay on fire.
All the wires were destroyed along with almost everything in the engine bay.
His car had the M10b18 motor. :(

Yesterday he managed to find a very cheap 316 for sale.M10b16 engine.
What can he use to restore his M10B18 engine?
I m asking esp as far as wires and electrical parts are concerned.
Please shade some light on the matter. He s kinda lost.
    N.

I'd pull everything out wiring related from the new car and unfortunately you're gonna have to start from scratch. pull all the old burnt crap out, pull the motor, junk it. I don't think you'll find anything useful or salvageable from the looks of it.

Well,I guess the whole E30 will probably end up to be a parts car, unfortunately.
