Guages, heater, and OBC do not work! help

Hey guys I have been having this problem with my car for about 6 months now.
The problem is that my guages (except for speedo) heater, cruise control, OBC all do not work, everything went out at once. I have replaced my SI board but still does not work.
Everything will work when your start the car up for about the first 3 to 4 seconds then it all shuts off.

If any of you have had similar problems please help me out, or know what the problem might condsist of please help me out it would be highly appreciated.

    P.S. Its an 89 325is

    Thanks

Did you happen to check fuse #10?

It controls all of those functions according to the Bentley manual.

Have you purchased a Bentley yet? If not, you should - the bentley has the fuse descriptions on page...aorund section 15, pg 63.

If not, fuse 10: It's a brown 7.5 amp fuse, used for the following:

          seat belt warning
          service interval indicator
          tach/fuel economy guage
          guages and indicators
          brake warning system
          backup lights
          obc
          starter
          fuel dilivery
          idle speed
          active check control
          stop lights/cruise control

Fuse 10 is located - If you open your hood and stand on the driver's side of the car, open the fuse box - it should be on the opposite side of the box (the side of the box facing towards the enegine) - they should be numbered. I think you can just try replacing the fuse, or check it?

the obc is also affected by fuses 12, 21, 23, and 27 as well, according to the Bentley.

Someone please let me know if I caused any misinformation, just trying to be helpful here. ;)

interesting, there's a short in my cruise control system, so when I turn it on it blows a fuse, although I only lose the brake lights, the OBC functions fine (yes, I have one)
The only time my OBC hasn't worked was when I shorted my stereo wiring head unit and OBC went out.
The gauges (not speedo) and reverse lights usually go out at the same time

Just check all your fuses since you don't have a manual

I had this problem once, and it was a faulty reverse switch. I blew the fuse everytime I went into reverse (how annoying is that?).
