    dying and hesitation....feels fuel related

My car out of now where decided to bog die and die. Tried starting it back up and ran like crap and idled around 500-1000 rpm then slowly dropped and died. Could keep it running a little but if I gave it gas it might rev for a second then would bog and die and would not start.

Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and could get it started but same thing super rough idle would drop then die. maybe longest I had it running was 2 minutes.

I am thinking it is the fuel pump but going to try and do the jumper wire for the relay like the bentley says.

Any other ideas? It is a 87 325e and has the 2 fuel pumps.

Has new timing belt, cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter done 2 months ago

I had a similar problem with my car, it ended up being the Crank Position Sensor.

If it was the Crank Position Sensor wouldn't the car not start at all?

Followed the Bentley and jumpered to bypass the relay and it worked. I had a older gold relay and went to the dealership and thankfully he was able to cross reference it and give me the new relay only 20 bucks too!
