    Rust in the Cooling System

Hey guys...how do I deal with rust in the cooling system?

Is the main source the radiator? I've spent hours doing system flushes with prestone system flush products and the brown water and stink just doesn't stop.

Do I need to replace something? My radiator was leaking so I got a used radiator and threw that in, but the rust persisted.

    Please help.

Take it to a shop that can pressure & back-flush your cooling system. Or remove your radiator and run water out of each piece until the brown stops, then run a rust treatment through to kill whats left. Rusted water will cause corrosion in the water channels in your head through electrolysis and will actually eat a hole through it, ask me how I know (Thanks PO). I was able to have it filled (didn't go all the way through) but still, take care of that shit before you have some real problems.
