    tranny's apart

So I just bought this thing and decided to tear it apart. It was pretty clean when I got it but I found scorring on the casing and slight grooves on the gears. Im planning on doing seals and am wondering what else I can do/need to do to get this thing and shifting clean?

Make sure to measure all your synchros while you have it apart, 3rd gear seems to wear out more then the other gears.

Make sure to properly measure and shim the layshaft so it does not rattle later.

Bentley manual has all the specs and procedures.

New seals and make sure to run a high quality gear oil in it.

is that where the shift rails slide in? check for corresponding marks on the parts that ride in the box there. Shift rail bushings?
