    Got my m20 running

ok, so I finally got the M20 running. I swapped two plug wires at the distributor. My tach needle now isn't moving and the car is running like it's on 5 cylinders - a bit rough. idle is neutral and there is no hesitation on revving. the negative post on the coil is loose or possibly broken - would this cause the problem?

Can anyone comment as to possible solution?

    thank you.

ha yea. no voltage to distributor from the coil = no start. Id get a new coil asap. Its pretty high voltage so its prob arcing from coil to wire. Bad coil would explain your tach problems.

actually the car runs fine and starts after a couple cranks. But was wondering if the loose connection would be responsible for the rough running motor?
